GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ How About A Paul Gilbert Style Lesson?

Posted by: mattacuk Mar 28 2007, 11:03 AM

I would REALLY love to see one of our instructors do this! I think it would be great to learn about his 3 note per string style playing, as currently there are more pentatonic based lessons here at GMC. Although these lessons are awsome, I would really like to play in the style of Mr Gilbert too ! So what do you think?

I love Gilbert, but I say skip the 3 nps stuff and go right into the 4 note per string ideas that Shawn Lane, Rusty Cooley, Gonçalo Pereira, and very few other players use. Get the whole left hand working, none of this tapping stuff, just huge stretches. laugh.gif
