Hey Everyone,
This thread is mainly meant for Kris but feel free to weigh in on the topic if you like.
I was getting ready to renew my membership today when a thought crossed my mind while I was looking at the fee's on the sign-up page.
I was thinking that it might be nice to have an option for a lifetime membership and I was just wondering if there was actually an option for this or if an option such as this has been considered and what your thoughts on such an option might be.

Awesome idea - thanks for the feedback!
I am not against new options like this, but given our current situation we need these types of requests to come from several people before before we can prioritise them.
Our current situation is that we are in the end phase (hopefully) of long lawsuit against the development team that was supposed to launch the new GMC a few years back. As soon as it's over, we will try to start recovering with very careful prioritising of the web development work.

Hey Kris, you're welcome man, glad you like the idea. I completely understand about needing to hear from more people about it before you make any decisions. Maybe more folks on the site will chime in on the idea here.
I am really sorry to hear that you had to call out the lawyers on the development team for the new site.That really sucks.
I have been hearing for quite a while that the site would soon be renewed and always wondered why it was taking so long, and now I understand why. I hope everything works out to GMC's favor in the end and we can continue to have the best community of musicians on the web.
Thanks for the quick response, Kris. I will be heading back over to the sign-up page now.

Egad!!! Long legal battles are never a fun thing
