Sounds like the reciever end for the tremolo arm is what broke to me and you should be able to find that part fairly easily if that is the problem. I am waiting on the same part for my ZR trem on my Ibanez at the moment
 . I cant tell you about the floyds other than what jstcarson posted above, I do have an original floyd and absolutely love it.Also I would have to agree with jstcrsn about the fret buzz issue.dont start filing away unless you know what you are doing. Have you had this guitar setup at you local shop? You might want to have someone look at it since they may most likely be able to make some adjustments. A mistake by untrained fiiinig could result in having to pay for a complete re-fret. Also, get them to check the 'Neck Relief' as this could be the cause of the buzz. Lastly, setting up a Floyd from scratch is fairly straight forward, although it can be very time consuming as you need to set all the tensions, check intonation, re-adjust etc until you have it set.
