Which programs do people use when creating background tracks?

I've got a GNX4, with some drum samples that I use, but it quickly gets boring and sounds boring to.
So I tried to copy/paste different drum tracks, but it isn't satisfying either.

Can I download any good freeware, or do I have to spend a lot of money?

EzDrummer (made by company called Toontrack) is a fairly cheap program (you can get the basic version for less than 100$ I think) and it is what I think most people use as drum software here. smile.gif

Check out Ezdrummer and Addictive Drums. I'm also curious about NI Battery 3, but haven't checked it yet.

I use Addictive drums.
It runs much faster for me and I think it sounds more natural than other drum softwares I've used...
