> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Yes! Excellent work there, Scott.

You've got the vintage tone happening and the riffing is nicely in time. The chords sound the way they should too.

You probably noticed that with using less gain you've got to pick quite hard to get the attack. It's very unforgiving is't it?

I like the machine gun sound you get with the 16th notes towards the end, tonally it sounds really satisfying.

Nothing to add - you certainly didn't get hit by the Curse of the Pharaoh!

Killer work here mate!

I like your tone, and think that your rhythm work here is ready to tour with King Diamond. Your take sounds like the old Mercyful fates album, you did it!

Congrats! smile.gif

Awesome take Bleez!

All is there - precision, tone, groove. I really like your choice of tone and gain amount. Playing becomes clear and demanding so it makes us use more strength but...there are tonal profits smile.gif Really can't complain on anything in this take. Great job!
