Recording For Video To Be Posted On Youtube Options

Hey there fellow GMCers,

I just learnt a few new songs and I wish to post them up onto youtube. The problem is when I try to use my handphone or digital camera to record it, the sound quality is crap and when played over any backing track is sounds worst than ever.

I don't have a professional mic to do this job and I need a simple yet effective way of doing this.

Any of you guys have experience of doing this?
Maybe you could show me how and also post your youtube user so that I can view ur vids and subscribe to them

You can't do much about it.... If the microphone is bad you can't magically make it better...
Try using a separate microphone from the camera and merging it with the video later, and put the mich in front of your amp, that should improve the quality.....

Oh yes and many phone/camera microphones are DIRECTIONAL, that means they will record best if you point the sound source at them directly... Sounds like you weren't doing this!

You must record the sound on your computer somehow, maybe in the same time you are recording, or add the sound later to the video.
