It seems that many DT fans didn't liked all this video production instead of a simple statement about the new drummer.

As much as I like their music...this is so full of pathos it makes me wanna throw up. This is a clichée Germans have about America or Americans, many things get overloaded with pathos (just look at the big Hollywood Action movies). I don't menan to offend my american friends on this board, but I hope you get what I mean

The band wrote on their website that the whole thing can be followed via their facebook, but I don't have an account there
If they clam copyright also about this stuff... don't know what to say :|

They are milking the drama a bit. The old drummer isn't dead, he's just kinda "done" with DT. I'm betting it's not permanent either. I'd be amazed if next year we don't hear "reunion tour"

Small world This blog is from my home town of Atlanta. Mike could certainly handle Dimmu's music. He's one of not that many who could. That level of precision/speed often requires triggers/midi, or a crazy good drummer.

I think they made the right choice.. a lot of people were saying it should have been Minneman but I don't think so.. Mangini's personality just slotted right in. Plus it's their decision, what the hell does anybody else know ??

Yeah, I liked Mangini with Extreme and Steve Vai, so I'm just curious about the next DT album. Maybe they'll do a reunion in the next years with Portnoy, anyway.

Didnt he work with Petrucci before? I think he was the clear favourite but damn, that Marco is a seriously good drummer, world class! Wonder if he wants to be in my band instead? lol!
