I've been member here since the beginning of the summer, and I must say that this site is like my second home!
Everything works great, there are about everything a guitar player wants, but I have some small things on my wishlist that will make the site even better: a ) A lot of the lessons is made without a metronome when the instructors show's how to play the solo's in slower tempos. For rythmic advanced lessons, I will say that this will help a lot, since You can't get hold of a phrase played extremely slow without a reference in rythm. b ) Often when I browse the lessons from the right, I find lessons that I haven't seen before. When I then go to the lesson, I have no clue if it's anew lesson or if it's an old one - eg. I miss a date when the lesson is published. Maybe I have missed it in some way, but I can't find a date on the lessons. Otherwise all instructors, community participants and other people are doing a great job, and the site is really a HUGE resource for any aspiring serious guitar player. //Staffay -------------------- Guitars: Ibanez AM-200, Ibanez GB-10, Fender Stratocaster Classic Player, Warmouth Custom Built, Suhr Classic Strat, Gibson Les Paul Standard 2003, Ibanez steel-string Amps: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, Marshall JMP 2103, AER 60 Effects: BOSS DD-20, Danelectro Trans. Staffy I think both your suggestions are really good. I have often thought about the metronome one recently because I have been focusing on some of the lessons finally. This would really help not only with getting the timing of the licks down but also how the different note groupings sound. What I mean is something like 16th verses 16th trips etc. Hope that makes some since. As for your second suggestion about have a Born on Date. The only way I found to get this is to go to the comments tab and look at the date of the first post. It works but isn't convenient. Regards Yeah, I did that too, but a date somewhere on the main page for the lesson, would have been a great help. -------------------- Guitars: Ibanez AM-200, Ibanez GB-10, Fender Stratocaster Classic Player, Warmouth Custom Built, Suhr Classic Strat, Gibson Les Paul Standard 2003, Ibanez steel-string Amps: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, Marshall JMP 2103, AER 60 Effects: BOSS DD-20, Danelectro Trans. The new metronome adjusts to any bpm you want doesnt it? It may not be exactly in time with what the instructor is playing necessarily, but I've never had a problem with it. Then again, I'm mostly doing intermediate stuff, not the really fast ones. Yeah, I know , but thats not what we are talking about, we are talking about the Instructors USING metronome in the videos, not the metronome on the site... //Staffay -------------------- Guitars: Ibanez AM-200, Ibanez GB-10, Fender Stratocaster Classic Player, Warmouth Custom Built, Suhr Classic Strat, Gibson Les Paul Standard 2003, Ibanez steel-string Amps: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, Marshall JMP 2103, AER 60 Effects: BOSS DD-20, Danelectro Trans. +1 for the metronome idea!
That would have helped out A LOT on tricky phrasings and timings -------------------- Take your music seriously, but not yourself

The metronome thing is a great idea, but does it really play a role how old a lesson is? Well, I am not saying there should not be a date, but I don't really care about the age of the lesson, good lessons are timeless
