There is a darker vibe called DARKWAVE that has a Metal influence in the mix of 80s retro synth.

And some very cool videos wink.gif

I wonder if we could try to do something different with our videos? Instead of doing our usual performacne style vid, cutting between each player, maybe make it a bit more retro wave. These types of graphics are common all over the web so we would not have to buid it from scratch. We just need an idea. E.G. Girl is on the run from a cyborg, etc. Something to create a visual story to interest people who might not be interested in just watching some dudes solo over a backing. It wold be a bit more work but I'd be happy to help smile.gif Also we have othe folks here who do animation and such. I'm sure we could all pitch in and work it out smile.gif

This is a great article on the entire evolultion of Synthwave. It's become a Huge thing witihout the benefit of any radio play. Some of these vids have millions of views.

That's very cool information Todd! I didn't know about this, and I'm really enjoying the video you've shared.

Where is that article that you are talking about?

I like this one! It's quite fitting the summer and this genre is nice for night driving long distances smile.gif

That's very nice! Cool synths there mate!!

I would like to know the opinion from Todd and GMCers to see which of these two ideas are more jam friendly for them....

I think your version could be a bit easier to play over, so I'll vote for that.

I have a similar feeling, but as Oneab arrangement is very cool, maybe he can add some synths to my track...

I have to agree with Adam, onetabmatts is very cool and retro! But Gabes feels more like something one could really solo over.

Ok guys! I still feel that this one can sound better. I'll continue working on the mix and I'll also contact Onetabmat to see if he'd like to add some synths and arrangements to my track so we can get the perfect track for the collab!

By now I've opened a Blues collab so we have on active! I hope to see you there:
