Hi Nai! How are you? I started this thread to help you to design your guitar routines based on your goals, to keep motivation and to give you feedback and suggestions. I would like to know more about you so feel free to tell me everything about yourself you consider will help me during this journey.

About your question via PM, if you stuck on something and you start to lose motivation the best it to move! Let if for later and work on another topic that keep your motivation flowing. After all, we are doing this because we love it, if we start to lost enjoyment we definitely need a change. Follow your heart and feeling, trust in yourself since it's the best way to have a strong personality which will be reflected in your music. We don't have to master everything, we have to find our strong point and work from them in order to find our own voice, our own style. Find your uniqueness. smile.gif

About scales, sure! What scales do you already know and which are your favorite bands, styles and musicians?

You said that you are working on Marty Mustaine lesson and I also suggested a routine looking like this one:

Warming up (7 minutes)

Alternate Picking (30 minutes)

Legato (30 minutes)

Sweep Picking (30 minutes)

Theory (30 minutes)

Creativity training (30 minutes)

Let's continue the discussion here! smile.gif

Thanks Gab, you make me feel special here lol. Will working on the routine you suggested.
what I have done or learned so far are:

Alternate Picking
Legato
Sweep Picking
Shred
pinched harmonics
16th notes etc. (can't name some of them lol)

I don't really focus on one style of music or favorite a band. I am open to anything as long as it sounds good to me.

Hi mate, that's great to know. Being open minded is a big advantage for musicians because it's easier to be a more creative and personal artist. You are all the time discovering new things and this keeps the surprise factor alive.

Let's fill the topics with lessons, do you have some suggestions? Some GMC lessons that fit on the topics?

Hi Nai, that lesson is tricky but it's very cool. Juan's licks are always very influenced by Greg Howe and Kotzen. Check out this album if you are interested in exploring this style:

And about the routine for this week, here are my suggestions. Please check the lesson and let me know if you'd like any other option for one of the topics.
