I use rather Ernie Ball .009 for my JEM. I´m pretty satisfied with them. I´ve got a pack "Dean Markley" or so in my trunk, so I´ll try them too. smile.gif

D'addario, And I'm quite content with them. But nothing wrong with experimenting so i'm gonna try elixir next.

I use Dean Markley signature. They sound good but go rusty fast so I'm trying elixir next, hope they are good as they cost more than twice the price of Markley's...

Went to try something new last time - Ernie Ball extra slinkey .09 I think. I quite like those.

I'm with Elixir but mostly cause of
my sweat problem,
almost every brand or gauge is fine if you like the feel of it. smile.gif

I dont use either.

I've always used some PRS Strings, and the gauge I use is 9.

I've used the same elixir ones since february without problems tongue.gif

I think I'll try some Earnie Balls or something next, just to experience more types of strings.

Do elixir strings really last so long? My "normal" sets last 3-4 weeks playing an average of 2 hours per day, and they are quite black when I replace them sad.gif

Not that I remember how good they were when they were new, but they still sound extremely good. And I play around an hour a day. None of the strings are black yet, anyway.

Ernie Balls 9-42 for me smile.gif used to only use Dean Markleys but the EB`s do last a little longer although I still dont know how some of you guys get months and months of use out of your strings, are they still as "bright" tone wise as when you first put them on? , 4-5 weeks absolute tops on mine unless I break one in between and then I usually change the whole set smile.gif

They do last long indeed cause of coating.
Before them I had to change strings every 7-15 days,
depends of how much I was playing and I play a lot normally.
Now I change Elixir every month or even more.
They hardly go black, maybe bottom strings after a while. smile.gif
