Thought some of you might like Roth - ex Scorpions amongst other things - but largely ignored by the UK music press. Great melodic/symphonic player in my opinion. The three Electric Sun albums have some great guitar playing as well.

Cheers,
Tony

...and one of Yngwie's biggest inspirations. Probably the first neoclassical guitarist?

Quite a guy! biggrin.gif

Hadn't seen these Chast - many thanks Gish was one of my fav albums of the early 90s (along with some Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine and Fugazi multilayered noise...) and Corgan had a great stage presence .

Absolutely Kris - no Roth no Yngwie (is that good dry.gif ). I remember when Firewind came out around the same time as Rising Force/Alcatrass stuff - bought both but it was Firewind that stayed on the turntable (despite the, imo, awful vocals) as it was more musically interesting. **ducks before people start saying Yngwie is God**. Anyway early Scorpions has some great guitar on the lps...

Sky guitar - one off Juan by Andy DeMitriou - guy who made my custom excellent luthier who sadly has quit for health reasons. Specifiacally made for high access to the top frets at 24and above (specially designed to go beyond 24th if I remember Andy correctly).

Cheers,
Tony

7 string Sky though Juan so don't know if that's one of Andy's blink.gif - might be another luthier...
Cheers,
Tony

Chast - just watched all three links - big thank you - MAGIC - lovely to see Billy so enjoying his music again biggrin.gif .

Great stuff, wonderful links. Made my day.

Cheers,
Tony
