Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate, nice playing on this take! I like your tone, and how you manage dynamics in the different phrases. There are some parts in the beginning that has timing issues and there is a monster lick at 00:24 that needs more practice but the overall is good.
You just have to Isolate that lick, practice it and pay attention to timing to master this lesson.
Keep on the hard work! wink.gif

I agree with Gabriel here. Your performance is generally really good but some of the sweep picked licks are not being articulated properly. Some notes are not cutting through or are not played.

There's also the sense of urgency in your take, as if you're rushing through it. Just hang back a bit and take the time to get those sweep licks more solid smile.gif

Hey man! I love this lesson and I've been through it myself smile.gif

The guys have pointed out the important facts:

- definition in some licks - you need to slow those down, isolate them and work on them until you get them flowing at the original tempo
- overall balance - as Ben noticed, you tend to rush a bit - practice without worrying about the camera or other sources of stress and try to get comfortable with the backing track and notice the place of each note. You will slowly but surely gain the right balance!

Keep jazzing!

Cosmin

Very nice take! smile.gif Good tone and dynamics. Seems like we all agree about some headroom for timming improvement. It still feels a bit more like learned lesson than musical playing. I'm sure You can easily do it and deserve highest rate. Well done! smile.gif
