I'm not the biggest fan of brutal deathmetal or similar.. but i just got the 2009 Augury album called Fragmentary Evidence, and i must say i'm really impressed.

They mix the most beautiful tones with the harshest of metal, and they make it work well. And to top it all off, theyre all top notch musicians.

Anyone else like them?

Here's a track from the Fragmentary Evidence album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5i4gphLNKIc

Very interesting Trond, thanks for the share man. I'm not exactly into these styles that much, but I like to hear it from time to time. This sounds really HQ. THanks smile.gif

I got the same album, its pretty fantastic and has some amazing songs on it. Pre-ordered it hoping it would be as good as the demo suggested, and I sure wasn't disappointed smile.gif

The bass work impressed me. If only I could write bass lines like those on say, Simian Cattle or Sovereigns Unknown. Reminds me of some Atheist. Great album!

The music seems too spastic with the whole sound. It goes soft then death metal parts kick in again. It seems like there is really no point for them doing that aside from sounding "cool".

Sounds great! Original idea.. Haven't heard anyone else blend soft and harsh in this degree before.
