Ive been looking at this 7 string from Jackson and I stumbled across some really nice close up pics..... but, is the gap where the end of the neck meets the body normal? should the neck not be flush onto the body?

here's the link to the rest of the dude's pics

I was quite interested in this model but that kinda looks weird to me although Ive never picked up a Jackson before so it might be perfectly normal mellow.gif

Have you had a look at the Jackson Pro Chris Broderick 7 string? http://www.jacksonguitars.com/guitars/solo...ard-snow-white/

I quite like the look of the 6 string model

that is actually really nice. I like that body shape as well. The through neck is cool, much better than the DKA7. Id really prefer to have inlays though and a fixed bridge. Looks like a great guitar though.

Shouldn't be a problem, many budget to mid-priced guitar are like that. There also might be a shim there to fine-adjust the neck angle.

If it bothers it can be sanded, if I remember right someone did that (and few other customizations) in this forum to a Jackson though can't remember nickname.

youre right, Spock had some pics of a similar gap with the Jackson he was modding.... I forgot about that rolleyes.gif
so its not entirely uncommon..... still, it does kinda bother me a little, I dont know why dry.gif

That's normal on that build believe it or not smile.gif No need to worry. That's a fine 7! When buying a used axe from an individual, always, always, always offer as close to "wholesale" as possible since you may one day sell it and that's your best shot to break even.

You may not be able to pick up a guitar at that price, but always be willing to walk. "He who cares least in a negotiation, prospers most" as they say smile.gif

That's not entirely uncommon mate. Mainly it's because some manufacturers make their necks all the same and then put them on 2 different body types, one with and one without a pickguard.
