Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: In Flames Style Lesson by Gabriel Leopardi

I've been looking forward to this lesson since the first time I heard it and finally setup a guitar in Drop C. I really liked the chunky rhythm at the end, sometimes I just kept going with it. The guitar tone is one of my better ones, but I'm still working on the recording side to sound more like the original material. Thanks for listening!

Hi Yoncopin! Great job on this lesson!

Your playing is consistent in the whole lesson and shows that you have a very good guitar level rhythm and lead arrangements, and that the work we are doing at Gab's Army thread (LINK) is giving good results! smile.gif

There are some moments starting at 00:41 where I'm not completely sure of your guitar tuning, but maybe it's because I've just woke up, hahaha, just re-check it and let's see what other instructors say.

Nothing else to comment, just congrats! smile.gif

Hmmm....listening twice, listening for the third, fourth time and I can't spot nothing to fix smile.gif This mitgh be partly a matter of good mix - good in case of music production for external listeners. For rec purpose I would advice to boost your guitar to be a little above the "band". We could then spot some issues like unwanted strings muting etc. You did a great job on this one and I'll base my rate on what I hear now smile.gif

There is also a concept of making a little video editting and double the take - 1st with the mix you enjoy and then the same part with guitar being clearly above anything else so we could clearly hear where we can help to spot some things to tweak smile.gif
Anyway great job! smile.gif

Hey man, I'll agree with the guys and I think this is a perfect take! Congratulations! smile.gif
I liked the video quality and how chunky the guitars sound, really nice mixing. Your rhythm guitar playing is really tight which is really good to see. Keep up the good work!
