Use your illusion ( both ) - sorry mellow.gif
All slash's parts are great smile.gif I just thought both albums had too much filler and self indulgence. Both albums could have made for an excellent single album but overall...... disappointing.

Every Satch album after The Extremist. Some good tracks on them all but Surfin and Extremist are great complete albums

I really enjoy Engines of Creation though. Mainly cuz my parents used to play it back in the radio days. And I used to hear a lot as a kid.
So ye nostalgia!

+1, Actually wanted to posted the same.

IMHO Dream Theater kinda feels stagnated and don't get me wrong, I am huge DT, but this past couple of album seem like the same ideas recycled over and over.

I'll say except the latest one as petrucci only has 3-4 solos in the entire album, I only managed listening it 2 times while playing video games so might be wrong though biggrin.gif

Do you mean that these albums disappointed you when they were released? So you use to listen to Gn'r before Use your illusion was related, don't you?

I like Cryptic a lot!! But Risk as well as all the followers (except the last one with Kiko) disappointed me.

yeah, I really liked appetite for destruction, still do but I remember when use your illusion came out I just thought it was really poor in comparison. There were some songs I really liked but I was always skipping passed a lot of songs to find them.

Van Halen III with Gary Cherone as lead vocalist. I loved Cherone with Extreme, but with VH, it just wasn't working for me. I caught this tour and I was amazed at how great a singer Micheal Anthony was as a lead vocalist when he sang some of the older VH stuff.

I love it a lot too, but after have discovered MegadetH one or two years before it release, it was a bit - "too smooth".
But i accepted it as it was !
for the other albums, some are up and down.... Risk sound good to me, thirteen too, rude awakening is nice, and dystopia is GREAT !!! (still my fav in my car audio with opeth sorceres and pantera cowboys from hell !

Cheers

Laurent

I've discovered GN'R when all those albums had already been released when I was around 11 (1992/93) so I loved each of the 3 ones: AFD and Use your illusion 1 + 2. Spaghetti Incident wasn't what I was expecting so that could be my disappointing album from them.

I neither liked that VH album with Cherone. It doesn't work.

And talking about singer that doesn't work, what about Blaze Bayley in Iron Maiden?

The songs from the X factor were good, but he wasn't a good choice. Check out this one but sang by Bruce:
