Hi Guys. I was very impressed after seeing this girl "Juliette" rock out to an ozzy osbourne song, I thought to share it with you all, I think she deserves it.

the thing I love is the fact that she is so nonchalant about it, almost as if she is bothered playing something this far beneath her level

I agree, that's the beautiful thing about it. She gives a very good impression of her technique and abilities.
I think any conscientious guitarist should starve to perform at such level were they can project such an impression with their playing.

I can sense the change in the Atmosphere here at ♫♫ GMC ♫♫... lot of men, me included, are feeling an urgent need for more practice after seeing Juliette's amazing chops 
. we don't want to be beat by a girl...it's like a man who has been learning kick boxing for few years & just when he thinks he is getting good at it some girl comes along and with one jab knocks him out of his socks 
but finally when his butt hits the ground and he realizes what just happened he is going to be inspired to practice A LOT MORE.

Wow, that was very good. 2 things struck me in particular, 1) she is very natural with her rhythm, can ad lib with the strumming.. and 2) Vibrato !!

Couple of weeks ago i saw a coverband of 40 and 50 year old guys..they're pretty good and have been playin for a long time.
Now they have a 17 year old guitarist...i didn't know what i saw!!He shred likes a maniac but ...has that same attitude of jimmy page
and he's also a lookalike of him...gotta post some vids from him too soon...

She is an amazing guitarist. She was rated one of top three Female guitarists on truthinshredding.com
and GMC does not have any female guitar instructors, at least as far as I know

Nobody has mentioned LORI LINDSTRUTH of WARBRIDE yet, but check her out on youtube. I thought I'd take this post to introduce you guys to KIANA. She is quite an awesome gal and does a really spiff MASTER OF PUPPETS cover in this video.
Just goes to show gals can RAWK and as many previous vids have shown gals can SHRED too. Let's not bag on players because they were born on the other side of the gender divide. Gals have every right to RAWK and SHRED just as Dudes do. Again it goes back to EARNING IT, male or female, if you've earned it and you RAWK, nobody can take it away from you.
I really hope GMC does break through the glass whatever and hire our first Female Guitar instructor. I'd be all for it.

My comment had nothing to do with gender, nothing at all...
But Just because a person can play a few covers doesn't mean anything in terms on being a well rounded musician or even an Instructor...

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to share. I just saw this girl from a message in the forums and oh my god. I just thought WTF ?? Crap I suck. My daughter is 14 and plays daily.. we bought her an AMP about 6 months ago. We better look out. Looks kind of like Juliette. I actually told my wife that this was Ben Higgins daughter and she said "Really" !!! She was believing me for a minute then I told her NOT REALLY.. it was too funny. Well I guess I better practice or get a different instrument !!

Agreed, aside from Lori Linstruth who I believe does lessons, I don't know if these players necessarily can be instructors just because they play good.
I mean, Yngwie Malmsteen is a very technically rounded player, but he is a horrible instructor

Don't get me wrong I wasn't making a retort to any particular post. Just pointing out that having our first female instructor would be spiff and that there are some amazing players that just happen to be gals. Jennifer Batten and Lori Lindstruth are just a couple of them. The young lady in the cover vid I put up mostly cause I thought she rawked, not because I think she should be an instructor. I don't know much about her playing honestly outside of a few youtube clips.
Come to think of it, I wonder if we could get Jennifer Batten?

I agree with you Todd. I think my wife and daughter who are both members here would benefit from a girl instructor.
Don't get me wrong there are a lot of great instructors here and personally if I was trying a girl instructor I probably would just be checking her out and unable to learn anything he he he. I do think that for the women it would be very beneficial.
