I usually go about 0-10 minutes with warm-ups just to get my fingers moving and to get my APing in synch with my fingers.

15 minutes at least..You need to feel that you are all warmed up and ready for challenges...Sometimes it takes less and sometimes more time..

I would also say 10-15 minutes minimum, depending on the circumstances I warm up longer though (cold open air shows for example)

5-10min, just involves me playing some easier patterns quite slowly. A few scales, maybe an easy little piece and towards the end of the warm up have a few more stretches.

During a "normal" practice session I'd say about 15-20 minutes. But I don't practice properly very regularly.

I just do some of Marcus' warmup tecniques for about 4-5 minutes before I start playing.... After reading Daniel's post right above me though, I think I should start warming up even more.
For the notice, I don't play live.. If I was playing in front of people, I guess I'd warm up a lot longer. This post has been edited by Canis: Jul 14 2008, 02:54 AM -------------------- GMC is not just a website... It's a lifestyle!

I play a few scales at slow speed and gradually increase in speed until I feel warmed up. I never spend more than 5 minutes doing it though.

Sometime I do like muris, I will ply through a song very slowly, which warms both my hands up with multiple techniques. Usually 10 minutes does it for me.
