Randomly recorded acoustic piece, me and my mate - me singing, him on geetar, done on first takes, quickly mixed, thrown together blah blah tongue.gif Solo should really be in the middle not the end but we're lazy sod's biggrin.gif

Heres the lyrics (apologies for mild profanity, theres some UK only references too) :

Sitting outside lidl with your cheap guitar
I'm looking at life, by god you'll go far
By the way your dogs chewing on your shoe
Life's pretty shite when you doss in a portaloo

Home Sweet Hobo
Sitting on the street
Strumming Stairway to Heaven
To an invisible drumbeat

Sitting outside lidl with a can of baked beans
Do you have no idea what your life means?
Ass sore from sitting on the hard cement
Playing Smoke on the water for an extra ten pence

Home Sweet Hobo
Sitting on the street
Strumming Stairway to Heaven
To an invisible drumbeat

Home Sweet Hobo
I dont care who's fault it is
Life isnt supposed to be like this

Cheers for listening! smile.gif

Thanks, It actually ended up quite sad, despite me originally panning the lyrics to be a bit over the top and jovial.

Love the lyrics man. Great meaning!

If I may, it just needs smoothed out a little. It sounds like you are almost struggling to keep up when playing.

But I think it can be a great song! smile.gif

Haha, thanks everyone.

Yeah I suppose it does a bit, the acoustic was done on one take, we never even had a set structure ie chorus goes here ect ect, it was all just spontaneous, apart from the lyrics which I wrote a few days beforehand and had time to fiddle with. smile.gif

I edited your message for brevity. I think it was pretty good, just needed a chorus to make it really good IMHO. Keep going I like what I'm hearing. Can't wait to get there myself.

The Electric is outa tune, and apart from that great.
I lived in Stockport for 2 years so I understand most of the typical refrences and love, specially love the refrences to LIDL. I live in Portugal now and the LIDL next to me has hobos that hang around there and I swear the other day I saw one with a kids guitar in his arms, sitting down on a pavement!!!
