ehhmm a few pieces of advice in Detroit, even if it is in a decent place, Never ever ever go on small street walkways, dark alleys and stuff. If you must, be sure to to always be with someone (with groups even better). Unfortunately, this has happened plenty of times in Detroit venues where people get robbed and all that stuff. They would think its harmless to go on a dark alley to take a leak, then next thing you know knife on there throat while emptying there pockets. It happens more on the Southside of Detroit, but Detroit as a whole at night is just scary, it brings out the homeless people. Also, don't give em money, because they will follow you around. Have fun and always travel with groups on cities like this!

I'd hate to scare you or anything, but this city really have turned for the worse in the last 10 years so just be careful. This is actually one of the big reasons why I double/triple think before I venture on to Detroit. I would think who I am going with, how many im going with, and what venue. Only a very select few places in Detroit where you can go to Venues by yourself and feel "safe".

Have a safe, successful, and fun trip Muris!

You gotta do the west coast! ....San Francisco, or Las Vegas, or Los Angeles.
I'd be there in a heartbeat! smile.gif

Welcome to the US Muris. Glad you had a safe trip.

So if your playing all acoustic with this tour why haven't you done any accoustic lessons? That would be really cool!

Hope you can find time to get a burger, hot coffee and relax.

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato
