Hello,

I want to invite you to my SoundCloud profile: http://soundcloud.com/marcin-jakubek

I want to use it to post some songs that I create. I wont record any vocals, because I just can't sing, but anyway Its a good practice to write songs, and if someone will comment them - it will be even more motivating.

At the moment I have one finished song and one that I'm working on.
Please listen and give me some suggestions smile.gif

I like it a lot! I like the scales you used, especially during the first minute of it. Really great.. Maybe you can work a bit more on the part between 1:00 and 1:15 but that's just my taste.. It is really very kick ass, looking forward to hearing more smile.gif

Sounds really cool.. the intro is like Testament meets Slayer smile.gif

My only real issue would be the drum patterns.. they sound a bit disjointed and not like something a drummer would play. During the main riff with the double kicks etc.. I would make the cymbal work a bit more basic because it sounds a bit like you pointed the mouse and clicked all over the place a little bit wink.gif

The production is quite strange although I quite like it, I can understand what kind of vibe you're going for. Almost like it's been recorded in a church.. reminds me a bit of Morbid Angel.

Great riffs and ideas.. I would just improve the drum tracks if it were me smile.gif

Wow man ! I like your style ! cool.gif

But the mixing is bothering me...Do you use lots of compression or something 'cos drums sound like they're struggling the get through the whole mix.

The other song that you have posted (in Soundcloud) is mixed better.

Please share how you mix wink.gif

Hey!

It's EZdrummer with Metal Machine expansion. I have to admit that it's on default setting, because for me it sounds great. smile.gif

It's Phrygian Dominant scale in the intro. smile.gif My favourite scale (along with harmonic minor and diminished) for metal. ^^
I'll think about part, that you mentioned, one more time. Thank you!

It was some pattern from EZdrummer. I have already applied some changes after reading your comment! smile.gif

Well I don't know much about making things sound certein way, but I'm satisfied with it at the moment. It is also just my second home recording. I'm not even thinking about making it sound like from professional studio - I just want it to sound good enough to show it to people without being embarrased. smile.gif

Thank you! Well I don't know much about this topic. I've just added some compression, limiter and reverb on a whole track. Using only some presets from Cubase. But I think that you are right, so I'll change some settings to sound closer to the previous track. smile.gif

Here is also my previous track, this one is finished:

The first track is awesome ! The intro reminds me of Lamb of gods, which is awesome smile.gif But the drum isn't loud enough, thats the only things to change tongue.gif

I love the second one, it's sounds just like the stratovarius lesson by Gab, but its really good like that, good job man ! biggrin.gif

It sounds good, it's just there's pumping between the guitars and drums. Tony could really help you out with this one. wink.gif He's the master!
