Do these picks have good grip? With one of my other picks i have a problem with it slipping out of my hands.

biggrin.gif I'm mainly using "Pickboy Carbon Nylon 1.14mm" for electricguitar, but when I play acoustic I like to have a bit smaller size. I've been using Pickboy for years and can't play without em' smile.gif

And why? perfect size and perfect grip smile.gif

Welcome to GMC, the best internet site! biggrin.gif
I´m using in general "Steve Vai Signature Picks". They feel really comfortable. I used to play with very big ones (like Santana I think) but they aren´t good to play shred and so. smile.gif

Fernandez Star Wars picks......or, the Muris endorsed, Light Pick............other than that, the standard yellow Dunlop Tortex (.73),

The Star wars picks were a rare find, bought four boxes of them so I could have two comlete sets and two unopened boxes.

The Light pick speaks for itself, that is just a cool item to have for fun.

Jazz III Tortex picks here.
Thick and light and small.

I also use Big Stubby 2.0 mm - it's got a nice 'grip'. smile.gif

Start by playing something - a bend, a riff, a scale, a song - very slowly; if you make a mistake, start over; do this over and over, until you can play it flawlessly - and I do mean flawlessly - many times in a row. Next, gradually increase the tempo. Eventually you'll be flailing like a madman.

Jazz III for me. Their size means better control - however strumming sounds better with a regular pick.

Me too. They suit me the best since I'm more a rhythm than a solo guitarist.

Welcome! smile.gif I guess there is no point in resisting the "what picks do you use?" threads anymore! laugh.gif

Anyway I like talking about picks, so I really like the Jazz picks, but I prefer the tortex Jazz picks becuase I love the sound of tortex picks. I also dig the .88 Tortex picks, I like the big pizza slices.

Most users here use Jazz III picks. I use them myself along side medium 0.8 for rhythm.

You can find the picks most users use also on the wiki article. Check out the signature.

I use... Um... Well, the typing on it is worn down... But it's a smaller then usual white pick with sand paper on it, so I can't loose the grip unless I use brute force tongue.gif

I guess you are using picks from Ibanez then biggrin.gif That's what I'm using. They're smaller than the regular size and have a sandpaper-cover that gives a very good grip. You should try them out smile.gif They also come with a kind of a gum-cover grip-thingy if you want that instead tongue.gif
