What happened to the Theory Board? Actually, yes, I came across the post discussing it a few days ago and thought it was a great idea, then wondered where it was ... -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

I'd love to see the theory board opened up again, it's something I've been really getting into lately. I certainly wouldn't mind being a moderator even though I don't know what a moderator really does . I do understand that I haven't been around GMC for long and you would probably be more comfortable with someone you have known longer doing the job. In terms of theory, I would probably be asking more questions than I answered, but if by active moderation you mean introducing a question, writing an informative post or starting a discussion once in a while I'd be up for that - theory does interest me as I got a reasonable amount at school and have picked up some more along the way, and need to learn a lot more! I guess though as it was a low volume board you were probably right to remove it - but if you change your mind, the offer is there! I wish I could but I'm still having trouble with the theory behind "twinkle twinkle little star" thanks Kris Hey, maybe I could post a lesson for Twinkle Twinkle Little Star - I bet I could manage the playing for that with some practice This post has been edited by Andrew Cockburn: Feb 13 2007, 02:39 PM -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

I can offer my moderation services as well. I know some theory but not a whole lot but I have some experience of moderating forums from before. Mostly smaller forums but still. I guess my biggest advantage is that I can access the forum almost 24/7 since I study by computers and studying sucks Also I am currently picking up a bit of theory tutorials on the internet and learning. I had an idea about a theory thread that I was gonna kick alive too soon but if you're gonna open the theory board again I will post it then. Cheers I'm sure we could both be moderators if Kris agrees - the content is more important than the moderation, and if we both have ideas that's cool! I'm thinking of the occasional theory lesson in which people post videos of scales, chords etc so so people can see/hear how these things work out, rather than just totally dry discussions (although those are fun too!) I also have good online access - I work in computers and I'm pretty much online all the time. Also, I'm in a different timezone, so we can get more coverage that way! Oh, and now I think about it, I did once moderate a forum for a company I started - 3 different boards, zero posts in each Anyway, whatever Kris decides is fine with me. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
