I would be really unhappy if I couldn't get something physical in my hands when my fav bands release a new CD but some of my mates only buy albums off of i-tunes these days and would never buy a CD. I`ve not got a huge collection of CD`s, I do buy physical media occasionally, especially if its a really great album that I want in the car as well. I think there will always be a form of physical media available although I think we`ll be encouraged more and more as time goes on to buy it digitally from the net. I have about 2500 CD albums and I have ripped all these to my ipod. There is nothing like having 2500 albums to choose from. If it would stop pirating which i doubt it will, people will always find a way to steal stuff. But the main reason i love my physical media is because I have all my CD's on my car and when im not in my car i've got them ripped to my PC. I love them, I love going through the little booklet thing, I love looking at the artwork, and reading the lyrics while listening to the music. I just like having them around. I'm not against downloading albums tho, I've downloaded 3 albums from iTunes(Muris' CD was one of them), because they are quite cheap, and it's convenient, and I can get many CDs there that are hard to find in Hawaii. I do miss the physical stuff when I download them tho. I think there is enough demand for the physical media to keep companies producing them.
