Sad news.

I use to love driving past the Marshall factory, I always wondered if they'd give me a tour around the place but never stopped and asked

Indeed very sad news. Still, he had a good innings at 88, I'll be happy to last that long!

More worrying is that they say they always die in 3's - I had a dream the other night that paul gilbert had died. :<

You should have stopped! They're usually ok about doing Tours, although most of the time they prefer to have them pre-organised, so had you stopped you would have been able to organis one at least!!

A sad day indeed. RIP Mr. Marshall. Your epitaph is writ large over the heart of every guitar player who loves great tone, and over every stage where great tone is heard. The body fades, the legend remains.
