Hello GMC Community,
i am a new member of a reggaeband. My guitar skill is good enough for the rythm parts but when i have to play lead i stuck in some problems. I'm not able to find a scale for solos or small licks, i always hit weak tones.

For example, song in Reggae style:
E,A,B,B .. all major chords.

Or this one:
A,D,A,E .. only major chords too.

Most of the time i stay in a pentatonic of the first Chord. It does not sound good over time,
Anyone have tipps?

groove on !

I IV V V (I suppose then goes to I again to resolve)

E,A,B,B .. all major chords.

I IV I V (and in this too I suppose it comes back to the I degree)
A,D,A,E .. only major chords too.

Are all progressions in major scale, so in the first example use E major and in the second A major.

I hope this helps!

E blues and A blues might fit over these, but if you ask if it will sound reggie like, I am not sure. Maybe you should just stick with E major and the A major for as Ramiro said...
