Hi, i have been playing guitar for a while, but i can't shred for the life of me. i need a way to learn keys, what i have been trying doesn't work so well...

Memorizing keys on guitar is pretty simply
compared to some instruments like piano, wind instruments etc, you just have to move whole thing up or down for couple of frets to get into another key. Dots on the fretboard are really helpful here. -------------------- Youtube

I think first you have to comprehend the Circle of Fifths in order to understand a little better about the alterations and the order about how to think the keys.
