Here is some country style guitar. I did this using a Bigsby Vibrato Tailpiece. This style would be pretty much impossible to play with a Fender vibrato or a double locking whammy bar. The song is Dave Edmunds' Worn Out Suits (With Brand New Pockets).
My favorite exponent of the Bigsby Tailpiece is Lonnie Mack whose instrumental hit "Wham!" gave the "whammy bar" its name. Here he is playing Further On Down The Road with his Bigsby equipped Gibson Flying V in the company of Albert Collins and Roy Buchanan at Carnegie Hall. His amazing solo starts at 2:34. -------------------- Mike

Dude with Tele playing with fingers is the great Roy Buchanan. The lead guitarist in my band plays with his bare fingers though he uses his thumb too. Notice Albert Collins has his Tele capoed way up the neck. He gets a tone out of a Tele that no one can duplicate. All three of these guys are totally top notch...but Lonnie Mack is one notch higher than the top, which isn't possible but...there he is!

I think there's uncountable number of top notch players who just weren't lucky enough to let the world know about their playing...sad thing..but fortunately we can share many things those days and some of those people get sort of second chance You got that right Darius. Speaking from over 50 years as a professional musician, I can attest that, as a general rule, big time success in the music business has more to do with who an artist's lawyer and management are than actual talent. This is why I quote Roland Kirk in my signature. He had a song called "The Business Ain't Nothin' But The Blues". It is sad but true. I love music but I hate the music business. Nearly all of my favorite guitar players are pretty much unknown to the general public but I sing their praises online. -------------------- Mike
