Hi all! I just discovered a new metal band called Black Tide and I 'm very surprised because of the age of the lead vocalist (14 years old)... LINK

Do you know them?

Yeah I've heard of them, The guitar playing is ok, They need more development. The riffs become a bit typical but they have a lot of potential. Plus, there singer sounds exactly like his age.....14. His voice just isn't there yet for me.

Still, In maybe 5-6 years from now, I'd like to see how they are.

I think they try very very hard to sound "Epic" but failed miserably. For there age, ehh there ok. They seem to get a lot of attention just because of there age and playing "Metal". They have a potential to get better in the future if they don't let the pressure of being famous get into them.

Yeah, makes me jealous. It's nuts how some fourteen year olds can outplay a lot of older bands. They must be really dedicated.

I spelled my username wrong...I didn't even think that was possible!

Look at the topic for my guitar...
Finished Guitar Build

Gear:
Homemade strat (You still need to look at its topic!)
Squier strat (probably going to get rid of it and get another guitar instead) :)
Line 6 spider amp (not actually used for anything, just acts as a speaker)
Digitech Gnx2 (kind of old, but cheap, and sounds amazing!)

I think that vid is a quite old, I saw them at Rock Am Ring Live and the singer was bigger and had a diffrent voice by now so my guess by his looks and voice is that he is now at least 16 years old.

Besides it was a hell of a show for newcomers; old school riffs and interesting solos...

I liked that! I prefer that kind of metal before deathmetal and growling.

And the vocalist had a suprisingly mature voice for 14...

I'll applause their talent and dedication, but that said I have always thought, that people or should I say kids that age should not be caught by all those spotlights, but spend their time being kids. Child artists/stars has always annoyed me to some extent - no hard feelings, but I just think there are better ways to spend those kiddie-years. smile.gif

Heh, I remember having come across Bad4good. What was that...back in the mid 90's? They most be quite some grown ups now. Know of their whereabouts these days?
