I Know it must feel a little intimidating having someone ask you to make a lesson about Jimi Hendrix's guitar techniques, but let me first say that the metalhead, vai, and malmsteen video lessons, which I have been slaving over these last weeks, have improved not only my skill but stlye of playing. It's a great feeling to hear your guitar grab a different accent when you study from some of the finest, especially if your not too familiar of them.
I have seen some critiques from fellow members that they would like the genres of the site to be more expanded. I love shredding, prog, and all that speedmetal but I have to agree. And Yes, it is demanding to demand you teachers to make a solo lesson out of one of the greatest guitarists of all time, but this is just a suggestion. We do have a great lesson on blues licks that Gabriel has recently made which has widened the spectrum I must admit, but if we had a lesson on Jimi Hendrix, funk, RanB, hell even Jazz would be mixed into the picture. And I truly think that that would be beneficial to almost all the students here at masterclass...

yeah i couldnt agree more i think although the prog metal lessons are amazing i would love to see more blues/rock kinda stuff or even jazz or funk but i rlly think the site is missing out not having a hendrix lesson because he is an extremely influential guitarist and is amazing at rythm

If there's one song anyone should make let it be... (drum roll)....:

Love it!! Underrated song and this take is an absolute gem. The intro is nothing short of amazing...my fav version of this song at least. "Blues is my backbone" - Hendrix biggrin.gif More blues!
BTW - at the 3:51 mark...doesn't it sound like his string broke?? Maybe it's just me.

Well I read in his biography that he was having tuning problems throughout the performance because the bridge of his guitar was damaged. Idk but if you pay attention to the very end he gives an annoyed face as he reaches over to grab the one of the tuners on the last note.
