> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hey mate!

You are using a very clean tone - little gain - and this is both good and making things difficult. On one hand, you are forced to play very clean in order to make things sound, but on the other hand, a bit more gain would make things sound more authentic.

Now, as an ensemble, this take is ok, but there are spots in which your timing needs more work:

- 0:14-0:16
- 0:34
- 0:40

If you would put a bit more effort in practicing it slow for some more time, I am sure you can make it sound flawless - you are very close!

Cosmin

My advice for whole the take would be to always have contact with the strings above the onbe You play. Instead of Cosmin I like lower gain tone smile.gif I think there is too much unwanted noise from the higher strings. You could try to focus on muting them and this means always having one finger from the left hand touching those. Anyway well done! Nice clarity smile.gif

Hi Renan. As Cosmin said, the main thing to work on this one is timing. He already shared the seconds where the problem is more notorious. Isolate those sections and practice them over metronome as a loop until you can play them tight. Also playing over the original lesson can help you to improve your timing.

Keep on the hard work! wink.gif
