Hey guys !

I know here's many food lovers so what 'bout Christmas food topic ?

What do you guys eat ?
Is there a tradition ?
And do you cook yourselves or do you just focus on eating laugh.gif

I just prepared ham with mustard/bread crumbs topping. (It took about over 6 hours in oven)
It's very traditional Christmas food in Finland.
Also we have smoked salmon, potato & carrot casseroles, peas, root salad, bunch of cheeses and home made beer.

Tadaa:

Pork and duck roast with sugared/caramelized potatoes

And this for dessert:
https://www.google.com/search?q=ris+ala+man...280&bih=923

It is fillled with chopped up almonds, but there is a single one which is whole, the person who gets it wins a prize, often its a marcipan pig

Bacon.....

Well, not something we get on Christmas sad.gif , but something we should. But duck roast with sugar/caramelized potatoes and same dessert as Ulrik, then we get 'Gammeldags hvidkål' which translates to 'Old days cabbage' (?), no idea what it could be called in English. And normal white potatoes, brown sauce - and more, can't think of it all at the momento laugh.gif

Sadly no bacon for me sad.gif , at the moment I am thinking of getting some nachos and figure out what TV show I should start watching biggrin.gif

It's funny that our neighbours eat almost the same but more poultry and lamb.

Hahaha! I think you'd actually like it, just a bit of brown sauce on top of it and you're ready to go, and of course you can always add bacon - Not something people do, but they should wink.gif, but what's in important, is that you only get it from a good ol' South Danish family, since other places they add weird things and it is not even close to the real deal tongue.gif
