Hey folks,
I just showed this beautiful Toneport UX1 to my father who said that this will be my Christmas present. biggrin.gif I have got some questions:
1. There is a mic input... and I want to use it. biggrin.gif However, I have no experience with mics... Which mic is ok (and cheap ofc smile.gif ) for beginner recordings? Here's a list: click. Is there also a cable needed or does it come with the mic?
2. What do YOU get for Christmas? biggrin.gif

Cheers and thanks,
Tolek

Edit: Just noticed that there's an "S" too much in the title. smile.gif Not presents, but present. smile.gif

That's a really cool bundle and if a great vocal mic and comes with cable and stand which you both need for recording. That is a decent priced vocal mic and has great performance.

The Toneport UX1 is awesome. I have a UX2 which is incredible and the UX1 is every bit as good. Very high quality and will allow you to record very easily smile.gif

And for Christmas I'm getting a HD Television smile.gif

That mic looks sweet. smile.gif However, it is a bit expensive... So, it has to wait some months. I am really looking forward to that toneport. smile.gif

Congratz on your TV!

I'm not sure on other mics then. Maybe find a second hand one of the Shure Mics as they are top class.

I'm getting a TV because mine blew up biggrin.gif

Edit: Just found this one.

I was watching football and smoke started coming from back with 30 odd seconds left and I kept it on as I wanted to know what happened in footy but then it kind of broke down on me and went. It wasn't good. laugh.gif

All Shure mics are good but make sure you don't get SM57 or PG ones I think they are. Basically any that are for instrument recording or acoustic recording.

Just make SHURE your certain before you buy one. laugh.gif Sorry I'm bored at work tongue.gif

I experienced this, too, when I was a little boy. I made a break from playing SNES and I was having lunch when suddenly I heard an explosion... biggrin.gif I ran up and saw smoke in my room. Consquence: no video games!!! laugh.gif

Thanks for this hint. I don't want to buy a mic for recording an instrument (maybe one... my classical guitar), but to record voices. smile.gif I'll pay attention to this.

(P.S: I know that you are answering in the other Christmas topic.) laugh.gif

@Guitarman700:
Wow. smile.gif Looks nice. What is actually the Zen?

Ibanez is always a good choice - just go for it. I don't know much about Peavey, but every amp is cool. biggrin.gif

It is boring to get always clothes... smile.gif I rarely get clothes for Christmas. I often wear clothes for many years. I don't know very new clothes. smile.gif When something is broke, I get a new one, usually...

@Zakk
I would go for the Schecter. smile.gif

I need clothes badly. I've been walking round the streets of England naked for too long biggrin.gif

I have 200 t shirts, 8 jumpers and 4 pairs of trousers lol. laugh.gif I need to get more trousers I think smile.gif

But yeah I don't think I could convince my parents to get me a guitar for christmas. I can usually for my birthday but not christmas.

Something like IPod then? Very useful.
Two years ago, I got a MP3 Player which is pretty bad because it automatically changed the language (from English to Japanese/Chinese laugh.gif).
