Just saw the composition, it is really good in structure, technique, and wah use is awesome, and you played with a lot of confidence and feel. You really deserve to win this contest mate, and I really mean that. Wish you the best of luck! smile.gif

Muris,
When you write something like this do you write/tab it out and change things as it evolves or is this improvised somewhat? This seems like you spent quite a bit of time really composing this piece. Am I right or did you improvise alot on this one? Can't get the melody out of my head, I'm loving it!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Main theme is mostly composed, yeah, with few licks
that comes along the way as you play it.
But solo, specially those longer runs, I have no idea what I played,
I usually start from certain note and I aim for the last one,
everything in between is dictated by hands. laugh.gif

When it comes to winning GI.

I think that the best entry should win, whether it's you or someone else. However, your entry is so much better performed and composed than the other contestants (no offence mr Präntare and Evans) that I believe you deserve to win. I love those trills. They really enhance the melody and the balkan influences can really be spotted!

Great work!

Hahah sticking to 4/4 this time Muris? Better safe than sorry

As already stated: amazing composition!

You're coming to NY? NYC area, Long Island, or upstate? I will certainly be coming to your show since I live in NY smile.gif

Anyways, best of luck my friend - lets hope they have a competent percussionist this time around.
