Hi guys/gals,

Sorry it's been a while since i've been on. I seem to have forgotten password or username, lol sorry about that.
Anyway, I have a problem in practicing. I noticed it when i was at school and yes i creamed everyone in class but that's when i noticed i was stuck in the penatonic scale. I knew a few things.... but still i'm stuck in a rut and i could use
help/motivation/ anything!

P.s.- Is this bad...or horrible? Be honest and PLEASE help me find a solution!

It is not either bad or horrible, it is a logical way of progressing. Start with some Andrew's theory lessons reading about scales and modes. This is the next logical step.

I would have to disagree.

If you go to the lessons search, and type in Modes, 9 million lessons come up. Our forum also has a search feature.

Even if you don't want to learn the lesson, you can still view the scale diagrams that were used in composing the lessons.

Learn those, and apply them. It might be decades before you ever make up your own scales that can work with different styles/progressions.

I'm not saying i don't have em...and i don't make them unless im 100% sure they're even close to being correct.
But i will search for what u said. Thnx Mates
