> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

I've always loved Santana's playing. Had to learn this lesson as soon as I found it. Thanks Gerardo.

Wow, I cant believe to see any of my lessons here.
I used a pox xt live, and I think it was a clean preset with 5' cabinet and very dry.
Very well played, I want to add some coments any way.
The idea of this song is to handle lot of repetitions, so at the end of each phrase its not good idea to use the same vibrato.
0:42 starts the second part of the song and the articulations are differents as we play with accents and separating some note, my left hand fingerings help to this porpuse. I think your vibrato may be too strong in this section, the idea is a light vibrato and stop the vibrato leting the note fade out, if you keep the vibrato hard your adding lenght to the note instead of letting it fade.
There's a little rhyrhm mistake at the end.

Thanks for playing one of my lessons!!!!

Nicely played. Your vibrato is quite good, but bends need a bit more polishing to make them sound precise and even. Not too much work tho, your play them very nicely. Good take, a nice solid 9.
