Kris, 1 of the things that first brought me over to this site (apart from the high quality instruction).....was your wacked out sense of humour and the hilarious characters in some of ur vids, there were occasions when you really did have me splurting my breakfast cereal all over the floor (from laughter, of course) So now that u don't do lessons any more we get no more funny Kris, and that is decreasing my quality of life

Of course u are very busy and everything, but maybe you could find time to do 1 short vid every month or so, and make it a funny one:)

This is only a semi-serious post, but seriously, thanks for the grins as well as the tuition

hehe well it can be hard to be funny...I'll need to think of something. It's easier to throw in random jokes when recording a lesson!

I just thought it was Kris trying to be more professional. Those comedy lessons lured us all into GMC, now that he has us in a cobra death grip, he no longer needs them. I did enjoy them though. More than those videos did I enjoy the guitar that he played that Sweet Child `O Mine solo with. That thing was SICK! Kris you have to tell me where you got it, and what it is!

Well that's not entirely true... Joking about something requires a certain amount of distance/perspective to it.

I have been completely consumed with my work with gmc, day and night the past year - which makes it hard to step back and have the laid back attitude required to pull off some convincing jokes... If I could just press a button and get into the right mood - I would!



I think the model was Ibanez Rg 777 - I bought it used but I have sold it now! It was a cool guitar though.

I thought Kris' slippers in the alley cats lesson were comic genius. And his paul gilbert lesson on youtube. And all of his jokes really.

BUT...you need to make more jokes otherwise everyone on GMC will become unhappy and we will start a revolution and your amusing slippers won't be able to save you! (maybe)

Oh and speaking about monthly jokes - if everything goes as planned we will start working on a live-streming solution this fall.

This will allow for "live" lessons as discussed earlier in the forum...and why not have some joke sessions as well...!

As said, this was only a semi-serious post, I understand that you must have to work ur arse off to keep the GMC concept going, and of course we all appreciate that above all else.......
