Try other solos, other licks, other licks and even other styles of music. Don't just focus on leads - try to write songs and learn more rythm playing. Go to a live show and get some inspiration from there. Try to find other musicians and jam or jam to backing tracks.

We all get stuck from time to time!

You should analyze which techniques that lick incorporates and then work on those techniques exercises/lessons. For example if its legato, bending, vibrato or alternate picking - then search by those terms in GMC search to find suitable lessons.

2 years is little for far beyond sun. Still, you can achieve it, do you use metronome?

Hi, I think it would be a good a idea if you have easier goals so that you can reach and than move forward.
In that way it is much easier to keep motivation.
If you just practice a part of a hard song (like far beyond the sun) you may get bored...

For example, if you like Slash you can first learn first solo of November rain, but don't go directly to third. After you learn the first, go to second. Eventually to third, but give time to time. Learning guitar is really a gradual thing.

If you are having trouble with it, try only starting from the second string and eliminate that last 8th fret,

get that part right, and then only practice the first string, ON IT'S OWN,

then add that little 8th at the end,

then, and only then try the whole thing, when you have mastered all individual parts.

There is no reason to be impatient, this is just a small lick, you will encounter thousands of similar hurdles during your years of playing. Don't let that be a demotivating factor for you. We practice because we want to create good music, don't let a small lick become your only goal for taking guitar every day. The skills for playing this lick will come, but you have to be patient, rehearse slowly, and don't expect results in weeks. Expect results in months, years.
