Hi all new to the forum and website and I absolutely love it, so many options and great instructions. Just curious to know I notice a few of the instructors play Parker fly guitars. Where do you find them and how much do they go for. Thank you

Kris Dahl, our illustrious founder, plays a Parker smile.gif I don't know which type it is though. The Parker guitars were very high end and exclusive for a long time. They have since started doing a cheaper import line and those have not gotten a great reputation just from what I've seen/read. Although I'm sure some folks that have the cheaper Parkers love them to death. The prices vary wildly on Parkers depending on whether you get one of the killer ones at the high end or cheapo ones at the low end. But bottom line, if you play one and like it, that's all that matters.

Welcome Hajduk!

I love parker guitars and I own a parker nitefly - they are not the most expensive ones but they play extremely well! They have a similar feel as the top models but they are a little heavier (in weight). Some argue nitefly:s actually sound a bit better (at least in terms of heaviness) than the top models.

Either way if you get to try a parker, you will surely notice they feel special.

Thanks for the info on the Parker fly, what a piece of hardware, the first time I had seen someone use one was by awesome guitarist Dan Mumm, then of course the awesome Kristofer Dahl. I am originally born in Croatia, Zadar moved to Canada when I was 4. I go back every summer to see family. I started playing when I was 17, at 19 accepted into classical music school and it absolutely killed any love I had for the guitar, haha. way to regimented for me took the fun out of what guitar was for me. took about 8 years off still played a bit but not until last January. Now I play a min of 3 hrs a day and love it. Always have wanted to be a a bit of a shredder, Love Satriani, eddie Eric Johnson Micheal angelo Batio. I found out about this website through youtube watching Kristofer Dahls videos which were awesome and damn funny. I have one weird obsession I want to be able to sweep pick ( of course other things) but for some reason really want to be able to do that well. I apologise for the long rant, This website is killer as are the lessons my level of playing is intermediate but sooo much to learn. Any advice on what lessons I should do to help me would be awesome, you guys are the bomb and thank you. BTW I play a Schecter Damien series with flloyd rose, love it a bit heavy.

I also play a Parker Nitefly, USA made 1997. I personally feel that the craftsmanship of the older models is not only better, but WAY more affordable than buying a new "decent" Parker. For example, I bought mine for $720 USD, and it is about 100x better than a brand new $900 Parker I played recently.

Also, I modded the neck pickup to a Gibson 57' PAF.
