GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Need Recommendations For Blues Bands

Hi guys, I really wanna get into blues, and to really do it, I believe it's necessary to have a good understanding of blues rhythm guitar and harmony.
All the stuff I've been listening lately is just blues guys going crazy with the solos 90% of the time, with keyboards playing the harmony. SRV is an exception, but I'd like to start out with something a lil' bit simpler. 
Could you guys recommend me some blues music with (god, this is so stupid to say) a lot of rhythm played on guitar?? 
ya know what I mean?
Blues, Blues-rock, Heavy blues, anything goes, as long as it has rhythm guitar.

There are so many different styles of blues, not all of them in my favor, but to mention a couple artists I think are cool.
Joe Bonamassa, has some great riffs to go with the rhythm.
Johnny Winter is also cool.
I'm more of the "modern" blues guy myself so for me:
Jimi Hendrix (can be difficult to grasp)
Blues Brothers, of course!
Peter Green
Led Zeppelin
A couple songs such as
Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze
Blues Brothers - Sweet home chicago (dunno know who originaly made it)
Joe Bonamassa - Walk in my shadow (great rhythm)
Peter Green - Jumping at shadows
Peter Green - Green Manalishi (the coolest song ever?)
Led Zeppelin - Black dog
Led Zeppelin - Moby Dick (fetch some coffe during the drum solo 
)

You can also take a listen to names like B.B. King (quite simplistic rhythm e.g. is Rock me Baby) and Robert Johnson (the original creator of Sweet Home Chicago).
Also, some slow blues like Car Hiss by my Window from the Doors has some nice rhythm playing in it.
Actually, the list is pretty huge

Why not check out his latest 12 bar blues lesson http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/blues_harmony_developing_the_12_bar_frame/. Its great for developing rhythm playing esp blues.
Some other artists to listen to is John Lee Hooker, Robert Cray

I love BB King, but I never heard him play rhythm guitar, at every point in his song there's some fancy lick being played. Or maybe I'm deaf...
Car Hiss blew me away, started learning it

well, that's the actual lesson that got me inspired to learn more about blues rhythm.

Check out some old stuff from The Doors, many songs of them are bluesy even they are not in a standard 12 bar form.

+1 Roadhouse Blues is a great driving-rock-blues number

As I said in my PM to you bro, I'll repeat here: Freddy King, Albert King, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Johnny Winter, Big Joe Turner, Bukka White, Hubert Sumlin; among a lots other bluesman have awesome blues rhythm guitars in their tunes.
