incase for beginner GMC'ers, a sustainer is equal to a limiter while a compressor is a compressor for guitar. They are both a tool for "compression" but they aren't the same in use.

Back to topic, I think I never had the need to sustain clean tone as such but given the issue of noise (much worse with drive) still looks like not something I'd like to deal on stage.

By the way, they released a multiband version of it. Maybe its more practical given the advantage of being digital;
