Very nice mate, and great to see a first REC from you!

From what I can tell you nailed this lesson. Your vibrato is a bit differently phrased and a tad deeper, but I think it sounds great!

The ending was not entirely true to the original as far as I could hear, but no biggie.

The most important improvement would be your sound/recording technique - which currently does not give a great listening experience.

Well done man, you get an 8 from me! Looking forward to many more RECs from you.

Hi mate! Congrats on your first REC take!!

The main thing to improve here is not related to your playing. I think that the audio mix can be improved a lot, and that would help us to listen to your playing and analyze your work with more detail. The quick, but not best fix, would be to put your camera closer to the speakers in order to hear the audio mix (guitar + backing), better and with less room reverberation. The best way to fix this is to use any multitrack sofware to record and mix your takes.

Regarding your playing, the overall is very good. I only feel that your vibrato needs some attention since it tends to be iregular, and sometimes it starts too early. We have some good lessons for this technique, even by Darius. So get into out archive and choose one of them.

Nice!! You clearly put the time in to learn this piece. Your hand synch is solid, your picking technique is spot on, your sense of rythm and pace is on point and overall you played this quite well. I think you are ready to take on harder rec lessons!! I think your tone here would be good too if we could here more of it. That's my only issue with the take is the sound quality. As folks have mentioned, it's the only thing holding this back really. Are you using the mic on your phone or web cam or whatever your recording this with? That's fine if that's what you've got to work with. If at all possible, I'd say try to start building your home studio just a bit. You just need something called an AUDIO INTERFACE or EXTERNAL SOUND CARD with guitar jacks on it to get started. You can use headphones at first instead of buying audio monitors. You can get a decent interface for just over $100 like the focus rite scarlett. You just put your guitar cable in to the front of it and you can use a free DAW (recording software) like Reaper (download for free off the web) and you can use the free version of AMPLITUDE (also free to download and use) to simulate a very nice amp/cabinet. It's a very easy way to record and doesn't require a big spend. If you want to record an actual amp, you just need a microphone. A SHURE SM57 is around $100 and needs a mic cable which you run in to your focus rite scarlett. Either way works As for your rec solid 8 from me!

Hey there!

Great to see your take over this lesson. I hope you enjoy it

Now as for the playing it is a simple lesson so 100% accuracy is a kind of demanded. I think you could take just a few more days to make some detials work better but you were probably a little impatient Now let me point out some aspect ofr you playing that took my atrention

1. You can't always run from using pinky. The very first runs are actually quite comfortable and there is no particular reason to make a strech with your middle and ring finger. It also makes easier to mute unwanted strings, when all your fingera are close to each other and quite flat

2. There are moments when you change the actual rhythm of melody.

3. when the chorus part comes in, you should use legato only, while you pick some of these notes. LEt it be a left hand little workout as well Don't make things easier.

4. At 0:50 you rush with that lick. It'ns not it's exact rhythm in your take

5. At 1:04 you've played a single note instead of upward raking on first 3 strings. It's a cool ornament that is definitely missing here.

In general try to smoothen your vibrato - boost it's speed or depth thorugh all the note ringing time but don't make it irregularly. It's clrearly visible that you have a good beginning grip for vibrato and there is nothing wrong happening with your left hand - it's only a matter of polishing to make things sound pro. These things really matter.

Of on good habits you alraedy have is an "indeax guard" that holds unwanted strings while you vibrate or bend.. That's a good one.

Your right hand positioning and resting points seems to be on spot so no tweaking here at least for now.
