Hi everyone
I'd like to know if anyone has the same problem or it's just me or my ears.
I find most of the backing track lessons starting with a very low 4/4 hi-hat follow by a full drum/bass/keyboard watever.... which makes me loose track from the very start. If there's noise around me I can barely hear it.
I know that one solution would be headphones but....I get tired after 1/2 hour.
Thx. Any advice would be appreciate it.

Well probably the only advice I can give you is
to get rid of the noise that surrounds you,
either that or headphones.
Could you give us the example of lesson/backing
you have problems with? smile.gif

lol you are the one with a distinctive intro. Your backing tracks sound great from start to finnish.

I checked those lessons and must admit it sounds ok to me,
hihat shouldn't be too loud after all.
Now,maybe your speakers miss high frequencies
so you can't hear it loud enough?

I agree if you can hear through headphones but not through your speakers, then low quality speakers are definitely the problem

Cheap speakers ruin the quality.  smile.gif

So best advice is to try some good speakers.

Well i use these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-970191-01...2521&sr=8-1

For the price they're great for movies, music etc- i even use these as monitors for when i play guitar through my korg pandora. If thats your budget- i highly recomend, i find they give me good results (if you've got a higher budget, theres alot better you can do)

It all depends how much money you have and want to spend. If you do have enough money you could buy some cheep monitors.
for example: http://www.directron.com/av40.html .

There are a number of good computer speaker systems to be had under $60- One of the best deals right now are the Klipsch which are known for high end speakers:

http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Groove-PM20-...2935&sr=8-4

For $59 these are a good deal

But as others have said, locking into the snare and Bass drum are more important than the hihats - The noise interference might actually be a good challenge, as when performing, the environmnet is never perfect.
