Too...much...sweeping!

His picking is perfect, I like it. it just came to my mind, what would look like someone would did too much legato, can you actually have too much legato? I can watch these guys and be impressed by the technique, but unfortunately I haven't heard a good SONG yet where this type of playing fits. But I will love to see these players with other good musicians that also have a spot in the music. Steve Vai for instance, sounds best on other peoples records, not his own.
