I wouldn't have given it a 10 but definitely deserves a 9. Cracking album and a really good thoughtful review. Good job.

I abducted the real Owen, this is his evil twin laugh.gif

I think its about on par with Opeth, theres room for disagreement here but this is my personal opinion.

However, I think Opeth may also have a bit more edge because they are more distinctive and to put it bluntly their lyrics are more badass.

Here we have endless variety, whereas Opeth have produced something totally unique.

Its a question of which you prefer really.

Edit: Damn mate! Edit away the question!!! tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif The answer shall remain! biggrin.gif

The best progressive metalcore that I used to listen to. Not bad really, there sound just gets boring over time. Not bad for maybe a few listens in half a year but thats just me.

My favorite songs by them are Mordecia (From A Silent Circus album) and Selkies: The Endless Obsession (From Alaska).

Heh, I absorb music in huge amounts, literally band after band, not many albums get more than ten listens from me, but I liked this one, kept my week interesting. smile.gif

This album inspired me to pick up my guitar and start practicing again. One of the best albums in 2007.
