However, I think Opeth may also have a bit more edge because they are more distinctive and to put it bluntly their lyrics are more badass. Here we have endless variety, whereas Opeth have produced something totally unique. Its a question of which you prefer really. Edit: Damn mate! Edit away the question!!! The answer shall remain! Not bad for maybe a few listens in half a year but thats just me. My favorite songs by them are Mordecia (From A Silent Circus album) and Selkies: The Endless Obsession (From Alaska). Heh, I absorb music in huge amounts, literally band after band, not many albums get more than ten listens from me, but I liked this one, kept my week interesting.
