I am playing with this little solo for more than year and half but still cant get any further with that - its intro solo for song (I have most other parts), but the guitar itself sounds too weak - I guess some rythm (dunno if played by bass/guitar/some symphonic stuff) would do it. The problem is I dont know how to do it.

Is there someone better at this stuff?biggrin.gif

Here is the rough recording of it:
(Meh, its still being processed, w8 for a minute pls)

Btw. I have this problem (melody without backing) with more things, so If anyone would be willing to help me, I could upload them on YT...

EDIT: If it could help you, I can rerecord it with other parts, so you can get sort of picture, how I want it to sound..

My best suggestion is to look at the notes you play. You can tab them out for a better overview of it. Then look at what chords those notes could belong to. I think I heard some diminished arpeggios in there, though I can't really remember now.

Besides that - look at the strong notes, the notes which you land on. As I said in another similar thread: if you land on a G, try to have a chord underneath which has a G note in it.

As for exactly how the rythm part should be, I'm probably not the best one to ask.

I usually make the chords and the rhythm first and then I make the solo smile.gif If I was going your way then I would have probably visualise some rhythm in my head. You're playing E phrygian dominant there so the chord could be E5 obviously. Now about the groove it depends what you want. There is option for a slow groove or a faster rhythm. Why don't you open your DAW and program some drum loop then play over and see what you like the best. When you decide about that, start adding the riff guitar in the background (obviously following the drum pattern). Again, I have never done it your way but it might work for you smile.gif

Some sweet lines in there Jacub!

I can hear Dm chord or even F along with E5 or E as Emirs said.
But yeah, it could be tricky to add groove just like that on blink solo.
Perhaps you should have some inner groove when composing a solo just like that,
tapping with your foot, headbanging, anything.
It'll hold you within a time signature at least,
then you can decide what groove you'd like.

I agree with Muris here, at least try to figure out the timing which is very important. Chords can be created easily, there are many possibilites.
