Advice For Show, Organization? ... Options

Hey guys, I'm currently the vice-president of the music club in my college and we're putting a show in the auditorium with a quite varied out song list. It will mostly be covers because of the numbers of our members and It's not a "band" performance per say but me being the primary organizer for all of this, besides making sure that everyone can synchronize and play they're songs right is there anything a show "care taker" is supposed to know ... I myself will be doing most of the solo stuff (Rhythm is not my forte / my weakness) but other than playing does anybody from past experience like to share advice such as ...DON'T be too loud haha!

Start the show on time or with 15min delay...Are all musicians playing all the songs or they are swaping on guitars etc during different songs ?? If so it can be a problem , because they need to tune the sound each individualy and that is not cool doing in front of waiting audience..Try not to be loud on stage , if you don't hear yourself very well try playing with "mids" on amp...They will allow you to cut through the mix well..Make small pauses between songs in which singer will talk with and entertain the audience...And enjoy the show!

Yeah It'll be a rotating members thing ... but umm how much should I need to worry if there's about 10 guitars during the whole show ... we do have pedals that might help keep the song to song tone in check ... I'm not expecting an Iron Maiden sound haha but ... Is there advice for what I should mention to the sound tech?

Cool set list, I wish I could come!
If the guitar players can be content with the same kind of sound settings, then the show should go pretty smoothly.
Just make sure the main sound system is muted while guitar players insert their instruments..

Let everybody make notes of their settings after they have done their soundcheck. Give each band 15-20 minutes, has to fit like a glove that part. Might make that 30 if the bands are unexperienced.

Will everything be miked also? If not it's important IMHO that after everybody are settled with the volume you ask them to turn it up just a tiny bit. When there's a wall of people there they will absorb the sound so it could come out as pretty low in the back of the room.
If you have it mikes and a sound tech it's only important that the stage volume is good and everybody can hear themselves through the monitors, the tech takes care of the rest when it goes live.
