Ok, so I decided that for the rest of the month I will just learn new songs. I an a bit tired of technique and REC and I have to put them aside for a while.

So I will learn as many songs as a can and also try to record some takes on the collabs that I joined smile.gif
Oh and the songs I will try to do by ear and look up the tab only if I can't.

I'll start with Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire
Wish me luck ! smile.gif

Learning songs and doing collabs is a really good strategy! smile.gif
It is good to introduce such goals from time to time. Keep it balanced.

Good luck with the first song and yeah - ear training is essential!

Yeah, I was gonna say that it's great to do something different every now and then. I have been composing a lot lately - actually just finding out just how tight I'm not playing tongue.gif - but it's cool to explore new ideas. There are many songs (lessons) on GMC I would love to work up to the REC honor of posting, but just haven't done it yet. But I say just enjoy life. Don't force too much on yourself with music. Sure, some discipline is fine, but if you don't follow your heart, your guitar spirit will die inside of you. wink.gif

laugh.gif ok, that just sounded so philosophical!
