Wee, just got my electronic drumset , a Roland TD4KX
Just set it up, and it's really nice, of course I forgot to buy headphones, so using my guitar amp , and I also forgot to get something for the pedals so they won't move, and thats pretty annoying, especially if you try and do some double bass...
And of course when I first got it, I was missing 2 screws for the module, and I couldn't find them anywhere, but luckily I found some other ones that matched just fine from some old double pedals (only took 2 hours to find, but worth it! )
But this is just heaven! It doesn't take as much space as an acoustic, doesn't make as much noise, 25 different drumset sounds, ALOT easier to tune, build in metronome & I can plug in an mp3 player and just play along to songs and such , so this is really awesome for practicing. Because of my acoustic drumset I stopped playing the drums, they really made me frustrated because of some space issues , yeah I know thats weird, but it really gets annoying everytime you open the door to your room you smash the hi-hat & crash cymbal... And when you have to get to the chair so you can play the drums, you have to almost throw the hi-hat away and then pick it up once you're behind the big drum
But! But! Butterscotch! I can use this for Rock Band 3, uuh , quite fun bonus
So now it's rock n roll on the guitar & on the drums
Besides that I was wondering if anyone else plays the drums here at GMC
Cheers!
- Tobias.

Hey Tobias - CONGRATULATIONS!
This is an amazing set! May it serve you well.
Now it will be much more easier to make some cool drum backing tracks and songs?
Playing drums is really good for your guitar playing too - you'll get a deeper perspective into groove

Cool! Congratulations! I don't play drums, but it sounds fun.

WOOOW!
Congratulations man, I know this set, I've seen most of it in store and it's frikkin' awesome!
Check out some drum lessons here, Stole did a nice series of lessons, although they concern wooden drums, but there is one cool groove lesson too!
Enjoy playing it!
Thanks
Yeah it is frikkin' awesome
, I can't wait to play on it, got a migraine atm, which really really sucks, and I wish I was tired so I could go to bed and then wake up the next day and play the drums
, and I have checked out all the drum lessons here at GMC, there is definitely some useful stuff

Yeah it is & I hope so
, I really want to make ALOT of cool drum tracks, and its just going to be 10000 times more awesome when you actually made it by playing the drumkit and not using a machine or program of some sort
, and drums is alot about rhythm so that'll help my guitar playing too
, thats the good thing about instruments, alot of instruments they tend to improve your ability of playing another instrument, its not like computer games where as Counter-Strike doesn't really help your World of Warcraft skills...
, music is just awesome
Be aware the next instrument I'm going to get is a bass, I love bass so freaking much, especially slap bass like Flea from RHCP, and there already is an awesome (I assume
) bass course here at GMC

It really is fun
, well it is when you got the basics down, pretty much like guitar
, at first it is frustrating, and as soon as you can play some awesome fills and rhythms its amazing
, altho I think that guitar was alot less frustrating in the start, probably just not that used to use my feet...

Dogukan,

You should
, costs 1207 EUR for me, because I had to get it shipped from Germany to Denmark, if you live in Germany near Musicstore it would be around 1150 EUR, and I guess that it is the same price in every store that has this kit
(1207 EUR = 1045 GBP = 1723 USD) - Not sure what currency you use

Nice! Would you be up for putting some drums to one of our new tracks in the QUADRIUM project?

I'm not really that good on the drums yet
, it's been over 2 years since I last played on a drumkit, so I need to practice, for sure
